EA Makeover - Single Mum's House (Asilomar)

  • Nov. 28th, 2011 at 2:13 PM

I've had this makeover of the Single Mum's house (330 Oak Grove Road)  in Sunset Valley, ready to upload for a while now. Apart from RL getting in the way, one of the reasons I haven't put it up is because I'm still having problems with the sims3packs of my homes not installing. It's got to be something to do with the fact my store content is in merged packages as I've reinstalled, removed all CC, done pretty much everything else and it's when I put those in it starts mucking up. But lots of people use packaged store content without this problem so call me confused. Anyway I'm going to redownload all my store stuff and repackage it to see what that does (or suggestions welcome), but I figure for those of you who CAN get these homes into your game either using a workaround or I've provided a version that goes into the library folder, I'd upload it anyways.

Before (click)

After

Price - $110938 furnished ($71181 unfurnished)

Lot Size - 30 x 30

EPs / SPs Required - All (though no Pets content used)

Game Update - 10.0.96

CC Used
Store items only (not listed, I'm going to try update all these sometime these summer hols)

I also used the default wood texture replacements by JaneSamborski at MTS

DOWNLOAD LINK PACKAGE

IMPORTANT - Due to obvious problems with installing my lots using the launcher, this lot is in .package format. Please place the downloaded file in your Library folder in your Sims 3 Documents directory. I've tested this (fixed), but please let me know if there is a problem installing or with the store content.

DOWNLOAD LINK SIMS 3 PACK

NOTE - This lot WILL require you to use this workaround. to install using the Sims3Pack)

This is great beatdoc! I have been patiently waiting for this since you showed a teaser. It's going to look great in my Appaloosa Plains :)

Wow, this is a stunning house! So homey, and so inviting! I'm glad you're back to the Sims, because I only discovered your blog few months ago, by the Sims Daily forum, and I fell in love with your lots! *swoon*

Thanks Sandy! Super glad you like it (especially considering I practically fall in love with everything you make!)Now that you've mentioned it, I've really got to stop lurking around forums and start posting again too. One of the things that makes simming so fun!

So pretty! If I played TS3, I'd take it in a heartbeat. But man, you are great at building/decorating!

Thankyou! There is still heaps I miss about TS2. I like building/decorating in TS3 but not particularly gameplay. Hoping one day TS3 finally gets there!

This is a very beautiful house, but I can not download it if you could somehow wrap this house in SIMS 3 PACK?
